Go Australia!

Honestly though, a draw would be a win for us.

Australia are a great team, good communication and teamwork, but lack any real talent.
Cahill and Mark Schwarzer should have a big game, as they so often do.

Haven't been keeping up with the German team.

Here's for hoping.

Can't see it being a World Cup classic, but good luck to you both. Someone has said on another thread that Boateng might start, so should be interesting for Blues to see if we've managed to get someone on the cheap!

-- Sun Jun 13, 2010 7:57 am --

Germany is a very young team. Maybe they get really nervous, when they don´t have an early goal
Ruhr, with that in mind (young team) do you think you'll miss Ballack a lot more for his influence rather than his playing ability, or is this a chance for a young player to make a big name for himself?

As for the Aussies, I still don't think you've gotten over losing Tiatto to old age!

They all always had Ballack to hide behind. The pressure is now on Schweinsteiger and Özil. For Schweinsteiger it´s a big chance to show, that he has grown up and i think, he is just waiting for that chance. For Özil it is not helpful, i´m afraid.

german midfield: Khedira (23), Schweinsteiger (25), Podolski (24), Özil (21) and Müller (20) or Marin (21)

The comment about Boateng, the performances with national and club dont always correlate, so I wouldnt be too worried if he had a shit game

Robinho for an example, great player for Brazil, not much for City.. etc etc
