Ive just come from the land of the sun
Just watching the behind the scenes city video, and the seeing the autograph hunters made me think of how sad and needy they looked. Grown men being subservient to other younger, richer fitter more successful men seems a little sad to me.

Dont get me wrong, Ive got autographs before, but usually for my kids - and Ive got a bigger thrill than them. And my framed signed shirt from 2000 is my pride and joy, but nevertheless it seems a bit sad.

Thoughts and autograph related stories?

As a kid I got Bobby Charltons and remember back 30 odd years to how disappointed I was, he didnt look at me or what he was signing, didnt break stride and didnt say a word. Just plain rude - the daft old tw@t!

I have a few, but i do think it's abit sad for grown men to be getting autogrpahs in the middle of the day...when they should be working :P

I have Sir Bobby Robsons autograph on the day he got knighted in the book which u get a the ceremony right next to his name (well its somewhere in the house..cant quite remember where...you think it would be worth much? :P

I've got a few autographs Buzzer, King Colin, Uwe, Alex Williams, Tony Book, Kinky, Keegan, Nige De Jong, Silva, Micah, Joe Hart
I just get the autographs of my favourite players and I find it really sad when grown men are asking our players to sign another autograph and you can tell by the players expression that it must have been the 100th time he has signed one for him

Depends what you are getting signed IMO, and if it's a chance meeting. I wouldn't go down there to see the coach off, however if I was at the shop and saw the players getting on a coach, I would probably go over for a look.

I would love to get Lakey's book signed. The last derby at Maine Road programme signed by the Goat. A pic of Yaya scoring the winner in the Cup Final signed by him. Something that means something - a bit of paper stuffed in my pocket.....no
