Avaricious online Ticket Agencies. How do they get hold of so many?

Somewhere talking sensible nonsense ; )
I think we need a separate thread on this topic, especially after the tickets v Madrid 'selling out' so fast.

I've just googled 'Manchester City v Real Madrid tickets' . I clicked on the top listed agency and saw there are plenty of tickets available, and that's just from this agency!

Cheapest tickets are £250, yes you've read that right, a whopping 250 big ones! I then selected 8 tickets together and they are available.

It makes my piss boil that so many tickets are available to buy online at such an extortionate price!

The club have a lot to answer for but they won't. Until this season there were lots of empty seats dotted about the stadium.

Most games the club announced a sellout but that didn't reflect the empty seats.

Perhaps these greedy ticket agencies couldn't shift their tickets! I think so.

The club doesn’t want old dinosaurs like me and you mate. They’d happily fill the ground with overseas tourists if they could, cos they’d spend a bomb in the club shop. Like you say, it’s a disgrace that so many tickets have been hived off to ticket agency rip-off merchants for a game like this. Modern football though. They’re probably paying the club a hefty premium to get hold of the tickets.

I'm not sure that all of these agencies have tickets. My understanding is that they sell tickets that they don't have and then try to source them (though I could be wrong). Obviously that doesn't include official partner ticket agencies who no doubt actually do receive tickets from the club.

Just showing off you've learned a new word. Avaricious ****.

You can only imagine how many memberships these companies are gonna purchase for next season, we’ve been the hottest ticket in town all season, but next season could be on another level if we pull off the treble. No doubt they are using sophisticated tech and there is big money at stake, your average fan logging on for a ticket doesn’t stand a chance for the really big games, wouldn’t surprise me if they had someone on the inside

I don't know the answer but these online ticket agencies must buy several thousand tickets off the club. You only have to notice how many tourists are taking up seats, particularly in CL games and most of these will be bought off agencies.

It's disgraceful that the club are maximizing profits at the expense of proper week in week out supporters who cant afford to go to games.

It's the same with everything now, agencies block buying and selling on at higher prices. Basically no different to ticket touts.
