Actually suprised how low down we are

A better measure that the average (arithmetic mean) for this exercise is the median (mid-point) - if you have the data, Excel can compute this in half a second.
On second thoughts, with only 11 data points (players!), you can compute it manually in the same time.

Grandpa's like Van Der Sar Scholes and Giggs are "outliers" that push up the average.


The Rag press would interpret this as "Manchester United have the most experienced team in the Prem"!

Yeah i think the Manu team is exaggerated because of Van Der Sar, Giggs and Scholes, i'm also suprised that Chelseas is not higher as nearly all their players seem to be 30+.

The media mafia are always banging on about Arsenal and their "great young players / focus on youth" and our boys are only 9 days older than them.

It just highlights that our transfer policy has been a massive success and will bear fruit in a couple of years when United and Chelsea's old boys are gone.
