What a great topic. I remember a plastic cup that sat in me grandmother's bathroom in the 80s that had the noid on it. I don't know why it was there. It never got any use. It was almost like someone came into the bathroom with it, put it on the shelf, and walked out with out it. It stayed there for about 25 years!

I don't remember the Noid ever being used in Domino's ads over here. Seeing as they only opened their first outlet in 1985 in the UK it would possibly have run its course by the time their ads were running regularly on TV. From memory, by early 90s, Pizza Hut and Pizzaland restaurants were the pizza kings and takeaways were still mainly independents but I remember Pizza Hut having small counters to pick up takeaways. I don't remember any Domino's outlets at the same time.

I knew the character from Family Guy and the Simpsons but didn't connect it to Domino's until this thread, I thought it was a cereal character.

Anyway, their pizzas are shit so avoiding it will be easy.
