Quiet, and full of plastics.
Expensive trip too, as are most of the London aways.
Am I alone in finding the capital trips not worth the outlay?
Think I'll keep them to a minimum nest season.
and if the plastics weren't there it would have been half empty I suppose? Which would you prefer?
did it even go on general sale? how do these 'day trippers' get all the tickets anyway?
Not sure, I didn't buy tickets originally, but was offered a last minute spare this week, and took it.
London aways at the big clubs tend to be like today's, but they seem to be getting worse, with less of the core away support attending. Can't say I'm surprised, given the cost of getting there and the increasing cost of a match ticket.
I was surprised we sold out the full 3k allocation to be honest, particularly given the £62 price of a ticket. We took a heavily reduced allocation last year in protest.
It's to be expected that if the usual regulars sack it off that other new blues or day trippers will pick up the tickets, as an opportunity to watch a big game, so today's support shouldn't have surprised anyone. I know I was half expecting it.
Not a good thing really, because that means ticket prices will keep on increasing as it doesn't matter if the regulars are put off, the tickets will be snapped up by plastics anyway. Not to mention it means our vocal support is poorer.
