Im in my 60’s and I’m thinking of going to try and go to some aways next season. I’ve been a season ticket for years but only have around 7000 points which probably won’t allow me to qualify for anything. Do we have any type of ballot like what the rags have or am I pretty much destined to be an armchair away fan for a lifetime now?

No ballot but you should easily be able to make a few away games. It won't be Old Trafford or Anfield, but games like Norwich went down very low / to general.

You might get lucky for a midweek away game on 7k points but most aways sell out much higher mate. I’m on c.10k and struggle to get any.

You would have been okay for the domestic cup games if on the schemes. Next season will be higher demand, but if we are getting 5 or 6k at the likes of Soton and West Ham you should be okay.

I think Spurs, Arsenal & Southampton all went down to lowish points this season.
