Said it only 3 games in to the season but I'll say it again, he'll be the run away POTS for us fans.

Great player. Love how he isn’t rated by the media. Long may he fly under the radar.

He's starting to look very very good, our best CB pairing is already Laporte and Stones for me, Kompany not starting hasn't been a talking point for us for a while now by the looks of it. That's because it's already a working partnership and they have years to strengthen it. They are also both improving as footballers all the time, which is hopefully bad news for attackers(and defenders with the way our system works) in the rest of the league.

It took us a while to sort the defence out but I think when Mendy is up to speed, we'll have the best back 4 in the league for the football we play.

Was awesome and seemed to keep pace with Salah on a few occasions which blew my mind and them some. Great all around from him, Pep should be proud
Like I've cried time and time over, the notion that he is slow is as silly as they come.

There are YouTube videos of him chasing down and keeping pace with some of the paciest forwards in Spain.

All it takes is a youtubY search to debunk the 'he is slow' claim.

Good point about the media. He is putting in some great performances but rarely gets praise or a mention.

Laporte has shown little ability to deal with any skilled attacker, let alone a high press. Laporte will probably play and it will likely end disastrously and the penny will start to drop. There's a reason he doesnt have a single cap for France.

Well that went well!

I'm sold on Laporte / Stones. Not that I had any doubts or issues. I just needed to see them boss a big game on the road and do it convincingly.

Sorry Nico, but you're third on the list now :-(

The passing and patience is just so much better with him and Stones back there. They both have a level of confidence in there passing ability that Kompany and to a lesser extent Ota lack.

I think Ota' is a superior passer in between the lines to either, but he doesn't have the comfort on the ball either John or Eric possess. Capt. Komp is just inferior in every respect. Albeit he may still be the best physical specimen still.
