Game Over

Can't be true because on Monday Sky Sports sources said "negotiations hadn't gone well with Ba's agent."

On a serious not they sell Sturridge for £12m and by Ba for £7.5m
Really good business.

Ive read,City get 15% of the fee Sturridge is sold for....dunno how true.

Game Over

Least we will have time to get a replacement in as opposed to when we sold carroll

I'm sure your owner would change this situation for Carrol's one to happen again :)

Chelsea getting stronger and stronger. If we don't make it, hope they will beat United for title.

Since Torres one, Chelsea transfer business is close to perfect.

Im sure he would yeah but who gives a fuck what he wants! I Was speaking from my point of view. Hopefully we can get Debuchy signed up, a Ba replacement (heard Loic Remy being mentioned) and a couple more in this window (centre half as a minimum)

Must be done now to Chelsea,..Sturridge just signed long term deal at Liverpool..
Surely they wouldn't let him go,without BA being done!!!

Brilliant news for us

15%.we get apparently
I mean in terms of Ba going to Chelsea, means it decreases the chance of Falcao going there.

Not too much, they're still on two strikers only + Lukaku on loan. Still as much an option for him as we are.

They play in a system of only one striker though and with Torres going into a bit form, Ba and Lukaku I cant see them spending 50 million on another striker.

He wants a ling contract on good money. Say 5 year at 80k a week. That's a commitment and half for a club acting prudently.

Remy will likely cost 8-10m but has smaller wage requirements and Newcastle.

Ba is sound right now but could easily become an RSC.

Still Stoke must be kicking themselves.

-- Wed Jan 02, 2013 4:21 pm --

We shift Balo and one of Tevez or Dzeko and I male us faves for Falcao.

Chelsea going back in for Schurrie most likely.

Apparently Roman sees it as a challenge with Torres and is determined to make it work our rather than be Schevchenko mk2.

I think you're being a wee bit to optimistic about this mate. If anything, I think this signing for them only strengthens the likelihood they're intending to go in big for Falcao in the summer. They've signed a cheap stopgap to help out Flopnando until the end of the season - one who has a history of injuries and whose knee could go at any second, and will probably make the big push for the Colombian come summer to be the star forward they really don't have. I'd truly be shocked if Chelsea feel they're going to challenge for the Premier League and in Europe with a strikeforce of Torres and Ba...

Not sure if it makes sense. Ba would have been better for Liverpool and don't think he's a top 3 team class player.

i don't know Sturridge's position now ... a bench warmer for Suarez? Think they still need a big man to mix things up.

Still good news if Ba goes to Chelsea, flog Mario to Milan and welcome Falcao (toes and fingers crossed)

It is a bit optimistic for Falcao to join us at this stage of the season.

Can people stop saying that please? Schevchenko was excellent for us compared to Torres. He always gave his best and scored some very important goals (especially in the cups) during his time here. Torres will always have his goal against Barcelona but otherwise he's been a tragedy.

I don't think Ba decreases our chances of signing Falcao. We still need to replace Drogba or we will never be a "world class" team again. Torres was intended to be that replacement and it clearly didn't pan out. Ba obviously isn't the final solution to this problem given his knee condition. He's a stop gap and much needed reinforcements for the here and now.
