You absolutely have to visit 'My Son', (Real Place).
Americans bombed it a bit during the war but still amazing.

As for Phi Phi, absolutely amazing for relaxing/ scuba diving etc.

Visit Ho Chi Minh City, brilliant history.

Cant comment much for Thailand but from what I've heard its a bit dangerous at the minute, I'd definately recommend Cambodia aswell, while your in that part of the world. Angkor Wat is meant to be quite amazing, although been a bit damaged by shoddy repair work. All depends in what your interested in mate.

For me it's Culture/History/Geography and Wildlife.

Why's Thailand dangerous at the mo?

I got back a few weeks ago, that all finished a while back and foreigners were never in any danger.

That's not really true mate, Thousands of tourists were caught up in crossfires.
They were probably never the intended targets but they were definitely in danger.

But I do agree, you would probably but fine but better safe than sorry.

Thousands of tourists never got caught in the crossfire at all, they was told to stay away from Lumpini park where the trouble was. I never heard of one farang getting injured apart from one who was trying to stare up trouble!

Please I don't want to get into an arguement over such a small thing but you cannot honestly tell me tourists were not in danger when there were armed battles all over the city. Untrained rebels shooting blindly in streets.

Ofcourse they were in danger and ofcourse there were injuries (just not always reaching the media).

Stop being so close minded because you like the country.
