Just watching South Africa vs morocco and the SA keeper saved a one on one and the covering defender stopped the ball going out then knelt down and headed the ball back to the keeper to pick up. Surely this is a manufactured back pass and not allowed?

No its fine...

No different than anyother header back to the keeper.

Go on there often do we?
I shall now tell of a match I went to when the back pass rule was brought in many moons ago. One of those friendly tournaments between 2 english 2 European sides and Brian Laws (forest)did exactly the same thing and was warned by the ref that he was in the wrong. Not something you see too often so just wondered.

I saw a match once where a squirrel came on the pitch and scored the winner, surely the goal should have been disallowed as the squirrel wasn't amongst the named substitutes.

It's absolutely fine. He's headed the ball to the keeper, just cos the ball was on the floor at the time makes no difference
My understanding of the ''manufactured'' part of that rule is if you tee the ball up for yourself and then head it back to the 'keeper.

SERIOUSLY FELLA IS THIS A WIND UP?

There was a game the other week at Norwich, can't recall the opposition, Norwich player (Garcia??) passes back (using his foot) an awkward one for the keeper to control not using his hands as it is above his head, so he tips it over the bar using his hand...... and the ref gives a corner!

no thats fine as well

According to the laws of the game (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/footballdevelopment/technicalsupport/refereeing/laws-of-the-game/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/footballd ... index.html</a> - PDF in the top right corner), it's a bookable offence (page 119):

There are different circumstances when a player must be cautioned for unsporting behaviour, e.g. if a player:
- uses a deliberate trick while the ball is in play to pass the ball to his own goalkeeper with his head, chest, knee, etc. in order to circumvent the Law, irrespective of whether the goalkeeper touches the ball with his hands or not. The offence is committed by the player in attempting to circumvent both the letter and the spirit of Law 12 and play is restarted with an indirect free kick
