So that is obviously our weakest point currently with Fernandinho out injured and it was very evident today that Milner din't do much right. So with Garcia coming back in a week against Chelsea in the FA cup, who would you play against Sunderland and then who would you play once Garcia is back till Fernandinho is back?

Our options currently

1). Milner
2). Rodwell
3). Demichelis

I don't really want to see Garcia even when fit, but if that gives Yaya the license to go forward I don't mind until then I don't mind seeing Demichelis again against Sunderland since with Milner, Yaya doesnt go forward at all.

Need to play three in midfield. Until Fernandinho gets back, go with Milner and Garcia as partnership and have Yaya playing further up so he can show his attacking ability. Really need Aguero, Nasri and Fernandinho back ASAP.

Have to agree but don't see Pelle changing the attacking style.

Obviously a huge problem. I don't think Milner is good enough to play in the centre of midfield for us, certainly not in a two with Yaya. Demichelis can't play in a two except against piss poor teams at home.

Rodwell has more potential to play there, I think, but looks off the pace when he comes in at the moment, and perhaps lacks the discipline to play with Yaya in a two?

In view of all that, I'd probably switch to a three for the time being - all the more so as all of our strikers are currently struggling for fitness, so it makes sense to go to a 4-3-3. Something like:

----------Garcia------------
-------Yaya---Silva-------
Navas-------------Jovetic----
---------Negredo--------

I'd also be quite happy to see either Milner or Rodwell playing alongside Yaya in that formation, with Silva further forward. Ideally, it would be good to see Rodwell prove he could play in that DM role.
