Bad names

I've always considered naming a child after a verb to be wrong. An example is Neil. "Neil. Stand up. Neil, stand up!".

You would have thought the name 'Lance' would be of American origin , or at least i would anyway ... but no , we have the Froggies to thank for it !

My friend works for child benefit and one of his claimants has named her 3 kids after Lynx fragrances, no joke.
