Badges and crests

I once received a letter from a client with a very distinctive heraldic crest on it.

The crest was surrounded by what appeared to be a Latin inscription, and , as a former student of the language, tried to translate it. After 10 seconds, I was pissing myself laughing.
This is what it read:
"Itis apis potand itis atinone."
Any professional translators amongst us?

The Latin motto, Superbia In Proelio, on City’s last badge is a negative term. Superbia means having too much pride in yourself before a fall… in this case, in battle.

When you add in United’s 1958 FA Cup final chicken that their 1958 fan group have reclaimed now and those daft stars, that really was a shit badge!
 
A shame Leeds did a u-turn on this shambolic effort. Definitely full marks on the cringeometer.

A lot of people have said they’ve never worked out what the shape is on the Sampdoria badge:
