Balance Sheet

But is he correct?!?
How the fuck do I know?

Seriously, I'd say those figures were a bit on the high side but even if it's £50m a year we save then that's a theoretical £250m in transfer fees, not counting the wages of the new signings and £125m if you do add in the possible wages. When you take into account what we've generated so far in sales then we really could have effectively spent very little this summer.

Post this on an Arsenal site and you'll get:
"But...but....but we're the soul arbiters of frugality...you've wasted 200 million...it's not possible..is it...it can't be...
Wahhh it's not fair"

It was tongue in cheek: good accounting doesn't always (rarely?) portray the actual bare figures. Those wage figures could be miles out though couldn't they? In both directions.
"Mendy, Walker, Danilo, Silva & Ederson on an average of about £100k/week, i.e. £26m total" could be double, could be half. Truth is, none of us have the faintest idea. I'm sure we all think we have an idea of wages, sponsorships, match-day revenue etc, but nobody, and I include the very highest echelons of City, know all the ins and outs. Peter Swales would have had it all in his head though.

there is no chance Walker is on only 100k/pw. He was probably on around 70k at Tottenham, he doubled that when he came here easily. On the other hand there is no chance that Ederson is on as much as 100k/pw. Doubt he was on more than 20k/pw at SLB,

Mendy - 60-80k
Walker - 140-170k
Danilo - 90k
Silva - 50-70k
Ederson - 40-60k

looks much more realistic to me.

Can someone clarify what the rules are on the number of foreign players, home grown players and U21's we can have in the squad?

Is it 17 foreign as many as you like HG and as many as you like U21's?

Depends on the squad the rules are different domestically and for champions league, with no limitations that I'm aware of for domestic cups.
Oh and it also depends on what you mean by Home grown . Club trained and association trained have different numbers.
