Totally agree with this - BALE is the best left back/winger in world football. He's British, Premier league savvy, great temperament, young, ambitious, and apparently a nice bloke too! I just dont get this Bale transfer to City. We dont play with wingers which is what Bale is, so why would we buy him? We play through the middle, hence Johnson and Milner not getting a lot of game time. Bale would be a no no for me.

Because we struggle every time we face a parked bus. Bale would be a superb option in terms of getting in behind them. Blistering pace and a great crosser of the ball. Doesn't mean we have to play that way all the time, but it would be an excellent option for when Plan A fails.

Bale's one of the most sought after wingers in Europe, Ade's club are looking to offload him as he's a nuisance.
Add to all of the above the fact that Bale's a better player than Ade and it means there values are world's apart. be lucky if we get £6m for Ade whereas I can easily see Spurs getting £30m for Bale.

At this moment in time that's really not that wild a suggestion. Spurs without a proper forward were still largely useless even with Bale. We give them a proper forward and suddenly they're a much more fearsome team. Bale has a lot of potential and a lot of hype but that shouldn't be mistaken for someone who is a world class player now. Adebayor has 6 years experience on him and has arguably contributed more to Spurs season than Bale has. Unfortunately for Ade he never scored a hat trick at the San Siro, and is a bit of a twat.
That's not to say all your other points re: why Bale is worth far more than Adebayor don't still stand. A straight swap is clearly daft. Still not convinced Bale would be good at City though. He'd be smashing at the Rags.
