Bale

Great player, said it all along. Even when he was Spurs' unlucky charm I could tell there was something there. Mancini would love him I'm sure, especially as we don't really have much on the left-hand side, but the transfer fee would be too high when we could get other highly promising wingers for less. Putting Adebayor into a deal might offer some temptation but only if they fail to make the CL which is looking more and more unlikely.

Who do you think you should go for?

Seems the speculation about Redmond has died down a bit, he could probably do with more time in the championship to be fair. Would you want a genuine left sided player?

Hazard is the Bluemoon favourite but for me Lavezzi would be a perfect fit for us, he can play any of the four main attacking positions and is almost the prototypical "Mancini player" - versatile, hard working, talented, and quite young still. Jesus Navas is a cheaper option I wouldn't mind because I've seen him play left and right.

I would enjoy seeing either of those players in the premier league, seen more of Navas as I don't watch too much Serie a.

-- Thu Jan 12, 2012 5:26 pm --

IMO Di Maria is better than him and would cost around £30m

Always seemed like Ronaldo without as much talent, so essentially a bit of a bellend.

He'd become a hate figure pretty rapidly in the premier league

Not going to happen i'm afraid, Spurs would never sell.

He's a quality player but I don't think our style of play would suit him. We are all about retaining possession and playing through teams and, in my opinion, that would render his main assets (pace and crossing) pretty useless as we are usually camped in the other teams half trying to pick passes through them.

He's an ideal fit for Spurs with their direct and fast style of play and he is absolutely lethal on the counter.

I'm probably in a minority of one, but I would prefer Bale to Ronaldo.
If we could ignore FFP, maybe a thirty million plus a permanent move for Addie bid would get Harry twitching a little.
Plus the usual two million in an off-shore account !!

Ronaldo by a mile. Make that two miles.
