Balenciaga Fashion

People who wear this stuff aren't rich.

It is usually tossers up to their eyeballs in debt and wear a fashion label in order to give off the impression they're cashed to settle their own insecurities.

Don't get me wrong, there's some good quality clobber which willlast you years and is often worth paying the extra £ for (buy cheap, buy twice) but the Balenciaga stuff is just ostentatious.

If and it's a big if I was gonna shell out more than a 150 on a coat it would be for something like fjallraven or napapijri.
Long lasting and actually useful, plus the designs are simple and don't go out if style

Exactly. The materials Fjallraven use are top notch.

Totally agree. Fjallraven are an actual serious outdoors company that just happened to become trendy - most of their stuff is very well made indeed and worth the money.

Same with Patagonia.

Official description of that high viz work jacket

"For AW21, Balenciaga staged a dystopian collection, where the looks represented an armour for everyday life. In a neon yellow hue, this padded parka coat is defined by the practical reversible design and the padded silhouette. The look is finished with a logo print at the chest and rear."

I hate say it but I'm a pretentious twat and I've got one of those, had it about 2 years. It's well made, windproof and waterproof, got a waterproof pocket for phone, tablet or ship to shore radio, fits well and if I got tipped out of the boat the RNLI would find me. Great for fishing or dog walking at night. £11.99 inc postage of Ebay.

I’m all for fashions changing and moving on.

In the 00s it was boot cut jeans, in the 10s it was skinny jeans, now in the 20s it’s more loose fitting and baggy or baggy at the top and tapered at the bottom.

Trends do move on through the decades, although the classic fits and styles never go out of fashion.

Some high-end stuff is made with proper quality materials in a classy silhouette and they last forever. However, some high-end gear is utterly shit with a big price tag. Tat for twats!

If one of my mates turned up with the jumper with all the holes or those jeans with all the details from the first post of this thread, I’d rip the shit out of him endlessly all day. And I’d expect the same back if it was me wearing it.

Correct. Received a nice Fjallraven shirt for my b'day. The quality is superb and the material is really comfy.

Will one day treat myself to the Greenland jacket but can't justify it yet whilst other garments are still in great nick.
