It would be a great time to dig out that embarrassing clip of him shouting the word 'Balon D'or' over and over again last season, when he was watching Vini Jr, Bellingham or one of the other's whose coat tails he was tying to ride.

I’d love to have him at City. He’s got a fantastic work ethic and team ethos about him. The sort of player who makes teams better without being a superstar himself.Valverde genuinely seems like the only decent, level-headed player Real Madrid have at present, and I actually think he is also one of their best players. I still maintain that he was the driving force behind their Champions League win and Bellingham’s purple patch in the first half of the season (as he did all of the actual work that enabled Bellingham to just attack).
I would absolutely love if we were able to bring him to City, and he would be incredible next to Rodri in our system.
