Balotelli Article In Today's Times

When will Balotelli learn that journalists are watching him with an eye for a story - any story that that can be embelished. This is how it is these days so, get ready for more stories rather than reports as the season starts.

For my take, Balotelli was just being honest about Manchester, it's not to everyones taste and I'm sure many other players from the top teams and even you reading this would prefer to work in a holiday retreat enviroment and closeby to our families.

Milan vs Manchester comparison to the side. Bit superfluous because Balotelli said he misses Brescia and his family and friends rather than Milan - which he doesn't miss. I would have liked a comparison to Brescia, it would be informative (got to hold my hand up and say I wouldn't choose Brescia as my specialist subject on Mastermind) and relevant at least.

Well spotted

My dad went to Rome for the Champions League final in '09 when the rags lost to Barca (he didn't get a ticket) and hated it violently. He and his mate had to stand back to back on the tram to avoid getting mugged as there were lowlifes all over trying to pick pockets. The water and electricity didn't work at the place he stayed. He said the streets were filthy and smelled bad, the people were almost entirely unfriendly. They went to a pizzeria and said the pizza was awful and you can get better from a local kebab house in Manchester. And this is a romanticized city due to its history and landmarks, but once you've seen the landmarks it sounds like only a decadent ruin remains.
