Balotelli penalties

Absolute quality.Best pen taker by far.Feel confident hes going to score every time, as with Tevez never felt he was going to.

Referencing all the other posts on this thread - did Krul try the "Bluff" and not move ? - and if so was that the reason for Mario's arm folded gesture ?

He kicked the ball from the spot in the build up

I've never been so confident yet worried about a penalty than I was on Wednesday. I Knew he'd score but I was worried he'd do something stupid like a chip or whatever.

He's the master of penalty taking. Scored all he's taken. I rememeber thinking Tevez was class at them but have learnt to doubt that theory because he is shite at them and the more I look at the ones he scored, he was lucky on quite a few. The one he did strike well however was Chelsea away in the 4-2 win, great pen.

I would worry about anyone who EVER thought Tevez was a class penatly taker :)

You're bang on.......cue Kia, whoops, sorry, Tevez city...............

Krul tried to get inside Balo's head before the penalty by kicking the ball away and standing close to the penalty spot. So Mario was just politely letting him know that the ball is in the back of his net.

Going from what we've seen so far, the very last thing I would ever want to do as an opposing player is give Balotelli any reason to humiliate you. He's awfully good at it.

Folding his arms was the funny part.

Better than Elano at pens.

Balotelli is the only penalty taker I've ever seen that routinely makes great goalkeepers look like idiots.

Whether it's the feint, the direction or speed of the run up I'm not sure, but the way he takes them makes experienced keepers stand rooted to the spot like amateurs as the ball flies past them.

The funniest one was Brad Friedel's 2nd attempt at saving a Balotelli penalty when he just flopped over.

Krul near enough did the same today. Mario seems to read which foot they have their weight on, then taps it the other way. Virtually un-savable!

A goalkeeper would rather guess a wrong side rather than not being able to read the penalty taker and standing still as a result
