He's the master of penalty taking. Scored all he's taken. I rememeber thinking Tevez was class at them but have learnt to doubt that theory because he is shite at them and the more I look at the ones he scored, he was lucky on quite a few. The one he did strike well however was Chelsea away in the 4-2 win, great pen.
I would worry about anyone who EVER thought Tevez was a class penatly taker :)
Krul tried to get inside Balo's head before the penalty by kicking the ball away and standing close to the penalty spot. So Mario was just politely letting him know that the ball is in the back of his net.ifiwasarichfan said:Referencing all the other posts on this thread - did Krul try the "Bluff" and not move ? - and if so was that the reason for Mario's arm folded gesture ?

Better than Elano at pens.
The funniest one was Brad Friedel's 2nd attempt at saving a Balotelli penalty when he just flopped over.YourBirdCanSing22 said:hgblue said:Rammy Blue said:Folding his arms was the funny part.

Balotelli is the only penalty taker I've ever seen that routinely makes great goalkeepers look like idiots.
Whether it's the feint, the direction or speed of the run up I'm not sure, but the way he takes them makes experienced keepers stand rooted to the spot like amateurs as the ball flies past them.

A goalkeeper would rather guess a wrong side rather than not being able to read the penalty taker and standing still as a resultKris_Musampa said:Tricky_Trev said:The funniest one was Brad Friedel's 2nd attempt at saving a Balotelli penalty when he just flopped over.YourBirdCanSing22 said:Balotelli is the only penalty taker I've ever seen that routinely makes great goalkeepers look like idiots.

Krul near enough did the same today. Mario seems to read which foot they have their weight on, then taps it the other way. Virtually un-savable!
