Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is set to return to action in Sunday’s showdown with Arsenal.
The Blues’ £25million man has managed just 33 minutes since his summer transfer from Inter Milan, and said a fortnight ago that he may not be back until December.
But he and fellow injury victim Aleksandar Kolarov are back in full training – and Balotelli could be available for the bench at Eastlands as the Blues seek to go six points clear of rivals for a Champions League place.
The clash with Lech Poznan has come a little early for Balotelli, and Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to lead the line – although manager Roberto Mancini has not ruled out the inclusion of Carlos Tevez, originally slated for a rest.
Yaya Toure is available again, but Nigel de Jong may be rested for Sunday.
