Looks like his slimey agent is trying to earn himself some sheckles again and get Mario another signing on fee.

Doesn't say so in the article, but I was told that Ancelotti may move for him in Jan. Nothing has been said yet via media oulets but if it happens remember where you heard first ;)

I can believe this to a certain extent, but I cannot see him being first choice. His high profile is exactly the sort of thing Madrid like, but there is Suarez, who is not cup tied and currently better.

I can believe this to a certain extent, but I cannot see him being first choice. His high profile is exactly the sort of thing Madrid like, but there is Suarez, who is not cup tied and currently better.

All I heard was Balotelli is a serious consideration and an offer will be made.

Suarez and Falcao are two of the best. No brainer to get either and there's been lots of talk. Madrid spent a heap of cash so I suppose fees are a considerable aspect of their thinking.
My cynical side says it's a Beckham kind of angle. He is a massive PR player so that's a big deal, he'd sell a lot of shirts for sure and is more marketable than a Benzema or Higuain are/were. There's a fair few players I'd rather select if I was Ancelotti but Mario would fit a one man upfront formation, hold the ball up well, links up play and has a great shot. Spanish defenses are on the whole poor. He'd net 20+ in the league a season quite easily imo. His name/brand would explode too. I actually think it'd be a great move for Mario. Would love to hear the thoughts of the UK media if he made good of the chance. Not a bad idea on their part. His WC will go one of two ways, completely anonymous, or steal the show. Given how good he is when he wants to be, I'm going to go with the latter. I'd put money on him being better than Neymar in the same tournament anyway.
