Bands from my City. Yer Welcome. Not too shabby.

Roddy Frame - brilliant.
Mark Knofler - who knew?
Clare Grogan - phworr

Saw Travis a few years back in Toronto. Came on stage from the back of the hall dressed in boxing gear to the tune of Rocky - got a high 5 from Fran on his way through the crowd.

The Blue Nile. Just wonderful.

Deacon Blue. Many, many happy memories.

Alex Harvey, great live band.

Hue and Cry, very undervalued.

Those make up for Texas.

A neighbour of mine was hue and cry’s Bass player. He was shit at football though, so, I always had that I was a creative skillful maestro. He knew that too. Swings and roundabouts.

I liked them a lot. The Mrs hated them with a grim passion. How did you measure yourself as a 'self styled' maestro then? Caps for Scotland, appearances for your pub team?

I played for my city and schools, left school and was skinny and hadn’t grown tall yet. Scotland was going for big lumps who could run rather than wee skinny cunts who could play at that time. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
