After releasing Meadowlands in 2007, The Wrens worked on a follow up album for fourteen years (14!!) before the two main founding members decided to fall out about how long it was taking to release it (amongst other things), and one of them decided to fuck it off and release the songs he'd contributed alongside some new songs on a solo album. Fucking gutted. But anyway, The Wrens were brilliant and just about nobody I know has ever heard of them. Would have loved to see them live.
Sound quality on the live song (She Sends Kisses) isn't fantastic but there's precious little Wrens live content out there and it still shows how good they were in concert. The ballad-y start through to the rock out ending is brilliant.
