Always a dilemma with what to do with yourself on a Bank Holiday Weekend. It's a little easier this time as the weathers looking good to go.Whatever you get up to have a great day out in the sun.
It's no coincidence that a Spitfire flew over Bury yesterday announcing the start of the three day 1940's weekend on the East Lanc's Railway.Lots of things to see and do with two days of activities still to go.So dust off your dancing shoes for a weekend of vintage and glamour at this award-winning event.Live music and entertainment historical exhibitions battle re-enactments which are top notch and much much more from Britain’s finest hour ! They even have a working spitfire that you can sit in and flash up at a small charge at the transport museum so come as you are or dress up in all your 1940's regalia for a funtastic day out in the Lancastrian sun.On at Bury Ramsbottom and Rozzendorf (Rawtenstall).Today we are doing Bury and I highly recommend a few scoops at the Track-side station ale house.
Here is the full itinerary. http://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk/events-activities/2018/5/1940s-weekend.aspx?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Ad Words&utm_campaign=1940s&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIue6hi6Kl2wIVyb3tCh3urwYKEAAYASAAEgL9DfD_BwE
