Barca away criteria announced

It is a lot of money but not that much more than we charge for some league games at the Etihad. It is an incredible experience visiting that stadium, considering the history, great players who have passed through the doors and is a huge game for our clubs development and potential exposure on the world stage.

Visiting Barca is a must see experience even though I realise it is fashionable to slag everything off on this forum.
Not that much more?
It's about a 25% increase on the home price for a shit view in a shit ground

And yes I like Barcelona the city and have done the tour of such a wonderful club, but the reality is it's a shit ground and an even shittier view
£77 last year and I didn't even get a fucking seat

It is all about opinions. 74 quid for Barca v City or 20 quid less for City against Tottenham or someone. I know which I would choose. The 'bowl' is fantastically impressive, but accept the away end is not a great view. Still for anyone who has not been I would grab the opportunity. There is so much history attached to the club and when you consider the players who have played there over the last twenty years. It is something special and even the Barca anthem is uplifting.

In a fantastic stadium, with great sight lines and a club that has had lots of fantastic players and a wonderful history, longer than Barca's
Plus the 'boys in blue' is as uplifting a song as any one needs

Yes very true but most people have been to City on numerous occasions on this forum, Barca is not a 'typical' venue for an away game so I would recommend the opportunity to anyone to go if they are considering it. Our new stadium ,though impressive visually, is not steeped in the history of Camp Nou. Is that really open to debate?

I'd give up mate. You're right, of course, but it's like trying to flog a dead horse arguing with him.

My club is playing Barcelona in the worlds top club competition on a truly level footing, in a game the whole of the world wants to watch. Too effing right I'm going!

If I want to visit a club with history I will save money and watch Notts County.

Being in awe at clubs with so called 'history' constantly shown on Sky sports like Liverpool, Barca, Man Utd is not for me. Do the stadium tour, buy a cap, take a selfie, take in the 'history'.

£74 for the worst seats in Europe for a nothing special last 16 game is extortionate. It should be £15 up there.

That aside, the trip to Barcelona is worth the cost.

Yes I'm going to watch City, but I promised myself I would go back to Barcelona again after going for the 1st time last season.

Yes the view is shit at Camp Nou, but the city is.......(fill in as appropriate)

I'd agree with this,I've done the tour and been for a game, walk out of the tunnel on the tour and yes,it's very impressive, because your pitchside, sit in the gods for a game, and the view of the stadium packed to the rafters is still impressive...The view of the pitch, players etc,is wank,I've not been to a champs league game there yet,I went to the gamper game, was right on the front row in the city end and I found my bulbs were focusing on the netting more than the players.

The fact you even think the history of Barca is comparable to clubs like Liverpool probably explains your view. Its not being in awe just not ignorance.

Barca are a club with a rich history both on and off the field. Nobody knows how long these amazing days will last so, if you are considering going to the game, the thought of playing Barca in front of 98k, with one of the greatest players of all time, as equals is an incredible experience.

It could possibly be a game talked about for years. Hopefully the City fans who are there will have a great experience.
