I haven't been to Barcelona since before my kids were born and would like to go back.

The kids don't want to stay in Barca they want to stay next to the sea.

Can anyone recommend a resort within about 50km from Barcelona

I can look at Atlas's and google but I have not been to any of the resorts and maybe some Bluemooners have and could recommend a resort.

Well the kids are 13 and 16 but still want the beach and they want loads to do.
So I was thinking a big park type resort by the sea a train ride from Barca.
Maybe self catering or B&B in a hotel complex.

Bit touchy mate .you said the kids wanted to stay by the sea .There is a big fu*k of sea & beach at Barcelona .maybe it just the way you worded it there are so many resorts & beaches near by it hard where to start as you slap bang in the middle of the costas
