I don't want them to succeed because I want Barcelona to fail completely and catastrophically.

Sure, but by extension I want anyone stupid enough to go there in their current state to fail too. Already we can see the best players aren't interested and they're having to shop for an ageing Arsenal outcast, one of our bench players and a mid-table Wolves winger famous for being shit. I want it to go even further. I want it to get so bad that the only players they can actually persuade to go there are the types who would usually be going to China or Qatar instead.

maybe so. But surely his inability to hit a barn door unless he plays us is going to be a problem for them?

They won’t keep him long term but for the level Barca currently operate at I can see him doing a decent job.

I know it's petty but I don't want Torres or Garcia to succeed at Barca. Don't see the point in coming to City if you're going to fuck off the second a big team from your home country shows any interest.
