Maybe not it’s own thread, but here goes…

Any unsettled player of City they seem to get linked with or try to tap up…

This end of season looks like…

Gundogan
Laporte
Silva

Whilst I am accepting of Gundogan, he owes City nothing, no transfer fee and could quite easily take the wages of a player they sell. If it works for him and them, ok and all the best (really enjoyed watching him both at Dortmund and at City, criminally underrated by most opposition fans and will be very tough to replace).

Laporte, whilst I can see the appeal of Barca for him and there is obviously conversations going on, this is Spains starting CB. You just know they are going to try and do a deal with him and then try and low ball ourselves using the players will for a lower fee. Quite frankly the price they would charge us, is nowhere near what they can afford to pay, but won’t stop them trying to do a deal.

Bernardo, anyone who buys him will be on my sh*t list bar Benfica. A wonderful footballer and a wonderful person by all accounts. They messed us around last season and quite frankly should not even be shopping for this type of player, given their finances. My hope is no-one goes for him and we get 1 more year (however, I have said the same thing last 2 years, so I can’t (although I will) be too unhappy if this is the year).

My overall point is if you have Tesco money, you should not be shopping in Harrords, but as they always have previously they keep on trying! Let’s hope we stand up to them.

Just to make you feel even crankier.
Just announced

FC Barcelona has closed a financing deal on its $1.6 billion Espai Barça renovation project, which will expand and upgrade the landmark Camp Nou stadium and other installations. The financing comes from a total of 20 investors, according to the statement issued by the club.

I’m ok with that part, the idea of upgrading Nou Camp and growing revenues, which they then pay back investors with is simply business.

It’s the unwillingness to accept their current predicament and going to players getting them to accept less money then they had agreed to pay them, then going out into the market trying to buy same level of players as before.

Cut your cloth accordingly for a few years and take your medicine.

Barcelona signing our cast offs......wow....just let that sink in.

And,provided the cheap fuckers cough up,I think its great. They are not going to a direct rival and it provides us opportunity to upgrade.
