Manchester to Barcelona £20 leaves weds night,gets back friday.Just the problem of Barcelona to Santander.Cant be more than 100 miles.Willing to hire a car if trains are unreliable.Seriously considering this before it goes up,with or without tickets.Anyone else? Ryanair website.

According to AA Autotroute Barca to Santandr is 707.6KM!!!!!!! Best you start walking now

seen same thing weeks ago and its also very cheap with flybe. Problem is its 9 1/2 hours on a train or around 10 hours drive if i remember rightly!!

if i were you i would go onto google maps and get your route. Me and me lad, plus two mates flew to Madrid and then drove to Barcelona for the England Andorra match. It was only £50 each manchester to madrid return.
By the time you have pissed around getting the hire car and finding your way round its easliy an hour. However, once on the roads it's dead and you can give your hire car some good living and get your foot down.
The tolls arn't that cheap, i reckon we ended paying about another £40? Car hire (mini cooper covertible) was £120, petrol although cheaper than uk still cost around £120 ish. Barca is a twat to park so there was another £25 for the night Santander i would expect you could dump it on a street somewhere.
What started out as a "cheap trip", was probably cheaper to fly direct. My mates were in the back getting shit faced so they a great time, just makesure you aint driving.............

watch out as if it is Ryanair, as it`s not actually Barcelona.....it`s Barcelona-Girona.
And if you`re thinking of getting to Santander you have to get across to Barcelona-Reus to catch a Ryanair flight but the times of this flight are shite.
My advice would be to look at Clickair if you want to fly......they fly to Bilbao, you can get a bus for 6 Euros that take 1 hour 30 mins to Santander.
On a side note are you sorted for Hull transport yet?
