He was really good yesterday. One of our best performers. He and De Jong had to do a load of work yesterday but they closed everyone down.

Can they do that against Arsenal and Utd? I don't think they will be able to so to avoid Arsenal and Utd running the midfield we must drop the wingers

Agree with all the above Barry comments, think the whole team have been immense, not even gonna whinge about Garrido's marking, its all coming good at the business end of the season, there is not a single Prem team that will want to play us at the moment, lets not get too exited for the derby but we should be very very confident going into this game.

Let them worry about us, we're on fire playing 4-2-2-2 so leave it that way. United need to win and if they want to play 4-5-1 there'll be plenty of space out wide for us as Nani and Valencia push on s leave the wingers be and get the ball out to them as soon as possible.

Thought he fantastic yesterday. I wonder whether he is benefiting from being afforded greater responsibilty in a two man central midfield. The shaackles are definitely off now and he seems to be playing far more adventurously - great to see!

He had a great game yesterday and was for me only just behind Tevez and Ned for MOM. I hope he can keep it going. I we play with the same confidence and belief we can batter the rags next week!

First time i've seen him in the flesh yesterday and was seriously impressed. His positioning, reading the game, and shielding of the ball were brilliant, very clever player. Even without that amazing pass to Bellamy for the Ade goal he was close to man of the match.

Don't know what his passing percentage was, but i can't remember him giving the ball away at all.

Agree with all you said there, and if Lampard or Gerrard had made that pass we'd be seeing replay after reply of it on SSN.

What people dont realise is that everything goes through Barry, he's the engine of the team, he lacks a little bit of pace but he's got everything else when it comes to being a top class holding and distributing midfielder

He was all over the place and winning tackles because De Jong could not, he was one booking away from missing the derby game and thats why Viera was picked in front of him until he got injured in the warm up.

Fair play to both Barry and De Jong for playing through that game covering each others backs.
