2 key games in the Premier League today with 3 clubs desperately searching for vital victories in their battle against relegation.

Hull host Burnley, with a win for the home side creating a 6 point game with the Tigers having a game in hand, almost certainly consigning the Clarets to a return to the Championship.

West Ham host an almost safe Sunderland side at Upton Park, with the Hammers only a point ahead of the drop zone they need the 3 points to move into 16th ahead of Wigan on goal difference and a point behind Bolton and Wolves.

Wins for the home teams will create a 5 team relegation scrap, 2 away wins will give Wigan, Bolton and Wolves some breathing space and Burnley if they won by a 3 goal margin the chance to jump ahead of Hull. It's very tight at the bottom and these are 2 crucial games.

Not that anyone here cares, Falkirk vs St Mirren this afternoon too, huge match.

I would bother but last week when I did the Bluemoon version of soccer saturday I got dumped in the matchday forum and no-one bothered with the thread!

I ain't gonna bother anymore.

Well it's 0-0 still :-)

Burnley are playing like a mid-table championship side at best at the moment, if they're not careful they could easily slide down to league 1 ala Norwich, Leeds, Southampton etc

Ideal outcome in my opinion;

Burnley win
West Ham win

That way it drags a load of other teams into it meaning West Ham are more likely to be safe (good for us) and Burnley/Hull will be more likely to survive (Bad for Liverpool/Spurs - good for us).
