Yes I was also in the North Stand that afternoon 71/72 season,our last 63,000 crowd at Maine road before the seats went in following season and capacity down to 54,000 I then went back on the Kippax.Must say that one season under cover stood behind the goals with all the lads from the Kippax was a great season and we just missed out on the League.I remember being in the north stand in the 3-3 draw at Maine Road in 1970. The stand had just had the roof put on and as a result a fair few of the lads had relocated there from the Kippax. Before that the rags used to gather in there on derby days. They didn't know this of course and when Mcllory scored they jumped up to celebrate and got twatted all over the place lol.

Did a number of trips to Europe, for various reasons, by coach when younger.Yeah I did schalke and hamburg by coach back in the Mark Hughes period.

63,362 according to this site.I was in the Platt Lane with my Grandad. I think it was 1971 and it was 63000 crowd (?) with the yet to be seated North Stand. Classic game.
