Bayern Munich (Friendly) | Post Match Thread

The officiating, especially for a friendly, was shocking. He was letting tackles fly in (especially on Grealish) that would have been scrutinised for possible sending off in league matches, with barely any consequences.

Same could be said for the Club America match (again, especially for Grealish).

Luckily we don’t have another there otherwise we could have ended up with a few injured based on the “protection” being given to our players.
Agreed. Pavard was at Grealish from minute one fouling him, The tackle in the second half just outside the box looked like Pavard had had enough and took hil out with the ball already long gone.

Another happened on Palmer I think it was Theo Hernandez that cleaned him out, For some reason that phase of play stopped and the ref done nothing it went onto another stopped phase of play then he decided to book him.

It seemed to me that they struggled with the rules in general of the game and as you said letting tackles fly in which was no need for in a friendly.

Absolutely Knackered this morning, but buzzing i've seen our new number 9 in action for us.
£10 bet on him scoring a brace at 11/2 was an inch from coming in as well
Gosh there tight odds, what price was Haaland first goal scorer ?

I know we say this every season and then have eight games with 35 shots on goal and win 1-0, but I reckon this year will actually see us put ten past one of the lower league sides like Fulham, Forrest, or United.
Hmmm wonder what price you’d get from the bookies for City hitting double figures in a game this season..

Token report on bbc website now.
Managed to highlight how much Haaland cost us and how he needs to improve according to Pep in the first few sentences.
No mentioned of possession stats or how we absolutely battered the German rags for 80 mins.
Par for the course bbc. Well done.
Or another sell out crowd for us ( they mention It in all red top teams inc the Arsenal v Chelsea friendly)

When the 'tackling' turned into real kicking later on, I liked it when Rodri started to channel his inner Ferna, and properly took one out. He'd been quietly good all game but thought it was time to act as they thought we were a soft touch. It's one of the things we will miss from Ferna.
