Bayern Munich (H) - CL QF | Post Match Thread

Fuck off saddo
Celtic can’t even beat Lincoln City with a full team. They can’t get through CL qualifiers. The only team in Britain to get knocked out THREE European competitions in a single season. And you have them up on a pedestal with Bayern Munich.
You can ‘ fuck off ‘ .

May I suggest Pep that in the second leg City indulge in the time wasting antics carried out by Everton this season at the Etihad.

It’s what the self entitled snobs in Munich deserve.

I know, we played at the absolutey top of our game and they broke our press repeatedly like I think no other team could. That's what I mean, I don't think they were bad, against any other team they would have scored multiple goals but the performance of our defenders and Ederson was amazing.
Agreed completely. They weren't bad. They were really fucking good. A really good football team who play very nice football. But our back 4 and goalie were immense.

I just wish that game tonight was the final - it deserved to be. Both teams came into the game with exactly the right attitude - wanting to win, trying to play football and no stupid writhing around on the floor that we see on a lot of CL games. Credit to the ref as well as I thought he waved play on a few times when another would've pulled everyone up.

Defensively we looked rock solid. Dias, Ake and Akanji were brilliant. Make no mistake, that Bayern team are SUPERB and if we don't win it, they will. What a XI they have. I've criticised Ederson in the past for not concentrating but he was superb as well tonight - calm, great saves and great distribution.

The goal from Rodri was brilliant and I just wish he'd do it more often! The Silva goal was set up magnificently by Haaland and what a footballer Haaland is. He was the difference up front tonight and constantly harrassed them. I bet those defenders can't wait to get the second leg out of the way - he pushed them, banged into them, pressed them, tackled them and then set up Silva's header. Just brilliant.

Finally, we're starting to see Grealish blossom. What a player he's becoming. He's really becoming one of our most important players because he is now becoming a proper attacking threat and it's rare to see him lose the ball, which is incredible seeing how often he dribbles it. I can see him becoming the club captain one day!

Anyway, great night, great result and we've got some breathing space for the second leg.

COME ON CITY!!!
