Given the way Gary Lineker led the media onslaught - he all but wore the black cap before passing judgment - we have possibly reached the stage that we as a club express our displeasure with certain media organisations - after all, the way things are going they will need us far more than we will need them. A ban on interviews with the Beeb by Mark Hughes would be as good a place to start as any.
Whilst we are contractually bound to send out the manager for post match press conferences it hasn't stopped Ferguson, Allardyce and others sticking two fingers up to the BBC over a sustained period - without any kind of sanction. Why not us?
Targeting particular journalists has allegedly been Ferguson's way for years, which is largely the reason we are forced to read such pap whilst eating our Cornflakes in the morning - all the journos know that if they ask an awkward question or stand up to Him then one phone call to their editor later they're looking for new employment.
Lineker arguably deserves a rhetorical professional slap for his carefully planned mock outrage (I wonder how uncomfortable Shearer felt listening to it all after booting Neil Lennon in the head - see below)

Shearer of course was found not guilty by the FA, ensuring he was free to lead England in the 1998 World Cup!
Anyway back to Lineker and the BBC - rather than send out the assistant manager like other clubs we should let supporters club nominate a spokesperson on a game by game basis - showing that despite our millions we're as close as ever to our grass roots supporters! The only proviso is that the fan must sound something like Les Battersby and not have one of those posh Cheshire accents.
