Too big of a transition to go from mourinho football from the last decade to Sarri-ball especially when you know you’re not getting time at Chelsea. Cant remember seeing a more obvious mismatch.
Despite losing hazard And having the transfer ban which is obviously going to stop them bringing in somebody of prestige for instant results, they’re still in a strong position in that their squad is still capable of a comfortable top 4 finish which I imagine will be the target until they can buy players again.
They’ll get Kante back in his natural position, they’ve got giroud morata and batshuayi to chose from upfront which isn’t top draw but somebody should be able to get goals from, Hudson odoi, Willian, Pedro and Pulisic isn’t a bad set of wingers either. Set up for lampard to go in, get the respect and control, learn his trade whilst achieving realistic expectations and then have money if it goes well, you can see a plan there and I’d suggest they’re in a much better situation than United it arsenal even with a transfer ban.
