One of my mates is a massive cycling fan. Just before the tour de france started he had a look at what odds Wiggins was to win Sports Personality this year. He was 25/1 back then. No he didnt get round to putting anything on him!

I'll hold my hands up here and admit that I didnt actually question him when he told me that. Knowing absolutely nothing about cycling I'd never actually heard of him before the tour started so it sounded feasable enough to me!
