Fuck you ITV

The BBC has renewed its deal to show Premier League highlights on Match of the Day for a further three years, until the end of the 2018-19 season.
The agreement covers MOTD's Sunday morning repeat, MOTD2, Football Focus and a new midweek show on Wednesday nights on BBC Two and BBC Two HD.
MOTD, which is in its 50th year, and MOTD2 have a combined weekly audience of nine million.
MOTD presenter Gary Lineker said he was "thrilled" with the news.
Barbara Slater, Director BBC Sport, called the programme "the most iconic brand in television sport".

Thank fuck

they should change the name from match of the day to ready steady cook

they can chop up 90min of football into 8min slots and make it look like united win everytime
in fact united have never ever finished 2nd they won every single premier league title on match of the day

They should change the name to referee of the day. The spend more time reviewing the officials than they do the actual match.

I've never liked ITV's sports coverage; it's always come across as rather amateurish. Even when I was a kid, I turned over to bbc after the wrestling finished on Saturday afternoons.

And I absolutely detested their Premier League highlights show. It was always rags red dippers and L'Arse before any other teams were featured.

So I'm delighted that we won't have to sit through their shite service for at least another three years.

Well done, BBC.

At least it's not ITV who got the rights but I wouldn't be surprised if Adrian Chiles might make the switch back to the BBC.
