I've always liked Lancaster. I know it has it's rough parts and its full of knob jockey students but I just like the feel of the place. Lots of old buildings and a very compact city centre, and of course, a big fuck off castle overlooking a massive tidal river is always pleasing on the eye.

Met a blue last week whilst on my hols, lived in Annick, originally came from Openshaw, lived a few minutes away from it's fantastic beach.

Stamford is absolutely beautiful. Some nice pubs too.

Ludlow is gorgeous.

Richmond in Yorkshire is really nice. Dunkeld in Perthshire worth a visit, Winchester, Salisbury, Tobermory on Mull.

Oh, I like Stockbridge too, particularly the chalkstream on the main street where you can watch the most amazingly large trout.
