Behind Birmingham

So the teams we are trying to beat to 4th we play at home when we've already played them away in the first half of the season. That's to our benefit.

whats more important, the 1 game we've lost all season or the amount of wins we've had?

EXACTLY Few of us have been saying for a while we are heading for midtable and a similar finish to Sven and last year under Hughes and got slated for it. The results against the shit teams have put us in an extremely bad position now our second half of the season is much more difficult if you look at the fixtures.....

Eh? How - next half is pretty much the same as this half of the season except without Utd and Liverpool away - cos Old traffor dand Anfield are dead easy places to go.

Mid-table my arse.

Looking at our results so far this season you think these games are bankers then ? We cant beat Hull, Burnley Fulham at home but we are definately going to Beat Scum, Spuds and Villa ? We draw with Bolton and Wigan away and we are going to beat Arsenal and Chelsea at their places ?

I will have what you are taking....

Not as annoying as constant slagging of our manager and team.

B'Ham ahead of us - woa is me.

Those 2 games in hand could equal 6 points which would put us firmly ahead of them.

Not to mention semi of the cup.

Happy days here.

Would those 6 points be the same bankers as, Burnley, Hull, Fulham need I go on?

we can beat the bigger clubs, its smaller teams thats are downfall

what do you call mid-table tho? i know it's taking liberties with the stats, but, we are mid-table right now... and, apart from the first four games, our form has been well and truly mid-table. i too think we will do better than mid-table, but, I'm assuming that we start improving pretty bloody quick.

WHAT?!?

We scored three goals away from home. The officials, as well as a bit of dodgy defending cost us the win. To say we didn't turn up is ridiculous.
We played pretty shit tbf
Coming back for the 3rd time with 10 men against a team who were playing very well is not fair comment at all. Bolton fan I work with says that was the best they have played all season, and a great game.

True that. I was just wondering why alera thinks the next half of the season is harder than the first when we play each team twice and the teams that are supposed to be our rivals for 4th we've already played away (apart from Spuds tomorrow of course).

Yeah if they are difficult AT HOME then how difficult do you think they were AWAY?????

My God I have never ever seen such a bad argument,

2 matches are tougher away to the big teams

4 matches are easier at home to the big teams.

Thanks for proving yourself mightily wrong.

Well until tonight they'd only won 1 at home. Thought their front two were very good. Might not be great football, but they threw themselves into every challenge. Remember tevez's 1st goal. Three of their players threw themselves at that ball. That's what you have to do when you're in the bottom 3

Megson has been raving about their performance v City.

I thought Notlob gave quite a good account of themselves, partly down to our defensive shambles. They played the game with a high intensity, scored a great goal and worked bloody hard. Obviously they're a dire team, and scoring three goals away but failing to win the game is another indication of our inability to defend, but they deserved a point I thought based on there application to the game.

Megson is trying to win the fans over because everyone wants to beat us, because of the money and the spending, if it was the city of 2008 megson wouldn't of been going on about it so much.

bolton were nothing special against us, i've seen them play better and still lose, city shouldn't go there and conceed 3 goals, score 3 and not win the game, its not good enough.

They worked hard but it doesn't mean they played well, anyone can run about for 90 minutes.

Or Arsenal and Chelsea in the league...... need I???

Utd lost to Burnley

It is not that sort of leahue anymore this season where everyone sees the fixture list and knows how each game will pan out.

Just enjoy the ride.

Jesus - you must have been topping yourself back in the bad old days.

might also have something to do with the 11 games we still have to play AWAY and the 13 games we still have to play at HOME.....
Oh wait.....no yeah he's correct our away form is much better than our home form isn't it ;-)

Yes you do need, when I asked that question it was because I could have gone on and added to the list. Which game are you going to add to your list

Birmingham City this season
Hull City last season
one of the promoted clubs always does this before Xmas
Nothing to see here.........move along

Love it all the Hughes supporters live in the future on what maybe. Hughes outers are hindered by a long memory and too much realism for their own good.

The manager HAS to go.

Not only behind a team who've played two more games than us and had a ridiculously easy run, but Hughes had his hands in his pockets at Bolton, and he's TACTICALLY NAIVE, and he kicked my dog, and he played for United once, and he starts too many sentences with 'obviously'.
you've just put in a paragraph what you've heard everybody else say, i'm sure you'll solve all our problems though.
