I like the three statues on the east side of the Etihad, the artist who did the three also did a sculpture in bronze of John Greg at Rangers, so I am surprised it wasn't him. But I think I prefer them in bronze., especially of these three icons. They should be great as long as they aren't like that Ronaldo one that looked more like Niall Quinn.No, it's going to be a traditional statue in bronze

On the style... this will be different to the others hence a different world renowned sculptor. I think it probably seems more appropriate for the era they played in to have more of a traditional bronze style statue, created by a world renowned sculptor. Looking forward to it. Should be a great day.
I walked past the three statues last night on my way to the Joie (funny how we've had no joy over there since the name change?) and it all came back again - not that it's been far away - David's pass to Edin at the Swamp, Vinnie's screamer against Leicester (how we could have done with Esme thumping one in last night like Vinnie's) and then Sergio. We need statues like we need goals, and Eddie 'n Khiara pen saves.Please no. No statues outside COMS for me. Even if Mancini goes on to win 100 trophies I don't want any statues. I just find it tacky.
