I think we should be looking to what medical experts say about his legs. Are these freak injuries or is he always going to be susceptible to long term season enders.

It is a hard question to answer from my position.

He doesn't seem to run properly being very rangy and this might make him susceptible to muscle injuries and he always seems to tackle on the half turn or wrong foot like mangala

He just looks uncomfortable with any kind of movement. Pep mentioned yesterday he’s after a left back in the summer and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s lost his patience with Mendy

Not a City fan but i would say bin him.
The guy is cool and all but you are not paying him to be a mascot. The guy is constantly injured and his lifestyle is not really perfect for an athlete.

He’s a big old unit reminds me of Yaya but playing full back. Once he gets going he’s hard to stop, being up and down all game on the flanks must put some stress on those legs.

He could be a different method of picking a lock if we are struggling to score in a game to what we’ve had in the last few months.

No-one is going to buy him when he hasn't played for 2 seasons,he has knackered his knees which is leading to him straining other muscles,i think we will either keep zinchy and/or buy another first choice LB

He's only 24, give him at least next year to get fit and prove his worth.

We dont have any choice , we have invested over £50m in the guy and with his horrendous injury record , cant see any club taking a risk on him for anywhere near that money , we are going to have to show patience and hopefully he can string a few games together next season and then get rid , really sad that the can't cope with the rigours of the Premier league because he has shown in glimpses that he is an excellent player ,but if we can re-coup £25-30m for him next season , we have swam the channel.

Despite what a few on here think he didn't ask to be injured. Yes it sucks he has missed what is effectively 2 years of football but you take that risk with players. I still remain optimistic that he will overcome his injuries and become a very good player for us. We do need to sign another LB in the meantime though.

I am still hopeful about him but a bit of competition from a specialist LB would help
