Real shame as I had high hopes for Mendy as he was excellent for Monaco. Think Pep will definitely need to buy a new lb.

When you see Andy Robertson's evolution... The guy 2 years ago was playing at Hul !! They had him for nothing.. Same for TAA. For 3 seasons we didn't have proper functional wingers. Priority next season with the defensive midfielder.

Think we should still sign a new LB and let him, Mendy and Zinchenko fight it out for the two LB spots.

If Mendy get injured again just sell and get his wages off the books.

Can’t see a long term future in the game for him if he can’t recover effectively in the next couple of months n

I think he has been unlucky, and cannot really be blamed for his injuries, but if the reports are correct, his rehab process has not been the best. Clearly he has talent, as can be seen by his Monaco games, so let us hope with a clear summer of recovery, he can be back to his best next pre-season, as we don't have the squad slots for three LB.
