Benjamin Mendy - City lose case and Mendy awarded £11m in back pay (p168)

So his contract says "if you get locked up entirely due to your own stupidity, we'll still pay, you plus any bonuses(!!!) you're not owed"?

OK...
We stopped paying him as soon as he was charged. So do you want to define "own stupidity" as that is not an argument you'll win unless you are more specific

I dont know if thats right, are you sure about that? I think he was paid after he was charged and on bail. Stopped being paid when he breached and got remanded

Not guilty isn't innocent.

Not innocent means a person is completely cleared of the accusation, often implying they didn’t commit the act. "Not guilty" means there's not enough evidence to convict them. The former asserts their innocence, the latter highlights the prosecution's failure to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. It's a subtle but crucial legal difference.
There us no such thing as Not innocent!
There are only 2 outcomes (ignoring a hung jury.)
Innocent or guilty.
Mendy was found Not Guilty.

There is no subtle but crucial difference.
If someone wants to believe someone is guilty despite what a court of law states, fine, but in the eyes of the law, Mendy did not commit rape.

He wasn't available for selection because the police fucked up with charging him. Its should now be their responsibility to cover lost wages not Citys.
The police didn't charge him.
The CPS charged him but I agree they fucked up. They were desperate to increase detections related to rape (see also the widening of the term rape)
This was a politically motivated charge. It should never have gone to court.

He's got a fucking cheek, this ****.

The trial revealed a pattern of totally unprofessional behaviour which impacted his fitness and ability to contribute to the team.

He took the piss out of this club for 4 years.

He broke bail conditions which meant even if we wanted to play him, we couldn't. So I find it perfectly moral for the club to suspend him without pay - it's the least he deserves, regardless of his 'guilt' or 'innocence'.

I'm pleasantly surprised we haven't settled - I don't want this **** to get another penny from us.

yep that's right City haven't paid him since September 2021. He didn't actually get charged for breaching his bail, it was dropped in court, so I'm not even sure where this news came from
