Why don't people understand? that is not how negotiations like this work.
Mendy doesn't have a Release clause, Monaco can demand whatever they want for him. If you go in and slap £55mil on the table, they just look at you like a fool because they know that is the minimum they will get and then they just ask for £60mil.
No he's gar from it, he said yesterday it was done.So a wum then
Pretty sure we've paid more than they initially wanted. I recall fees of £39-43m being touted as the asking price with City offering £30-35m.
That little weasel Alves has probably cost the club about £10-15m in the Walker/Mendy deals
You're pissing into the wind with that one my friend. It's such a simple concept, yet people just can't seem to comprehend why these things happen the way they do.
Screwed why? He got a better offer end of story!we don't really have idea how much they initially wanted and how negotiations went out. Plus, we were definitely screwed by Alves and it was always going to cost us the money.
It's really not that hard to understand. So paying exactly what they have been asking for (a world record for a defender) is a good negotiation then?
