We're just finalising the world record fee for Mbappe so we can unveil both him and Mendy together..... NOT..... I'm guessing with Chelseas late interest in Mendy, Monaco are trying to rinse us, I wouldn't be at all suprised if we walked away... But dunno where we'll get a better left back, don't think Sandro is attainable without a silly bid of £70m ish so Monaco have us over a barrel!!

This should've been completed long before the Chelsea situation got where it is now with Sandro. I still believe Mendy will be a City player, its just annoying how long this is taking after being in talks for the past 2 months.
 
How do we know it's not already done? Maybe medical was done in Dubai or maybe he flew in & straight back out? How do we know City are not just waiting to finalise a few other deals so all the players can fly to the US together rather than in dribs n drabs? Maybe Monaco want a player in exchange or we're buying more than one from them?

In short we don't, but they're all as likely than it's fallen through. I'm confident it's sorted already & he'll fly out to the US at some point. City have no need to please the flappers, they'll announce it when the feel it's right to do so.

Agreed its very annoying, its how Txiki does things., lock the player into a gentlemans agreement then negotiate price with selling club. Problem is on deals like this one where City feel the fee is too high we buggar about and leave the door open for another club to hijack the deal. It really p*sses me me off when Mendy is a primary target if you think how many millions we've wasted on ordinary players in the past!!
