people would've gone bloody mental if he missed it, and besides, if I was getting paid 50 grand a week to sit on my arse, I wouldn't be complaining either. I'll always support my team, but you must be able to see that he's a shocking player with apalling control

You could of had Torres, Ibrahimovic or Villa upfront, doesn't matter if the service isn't there.

The weather was appaling making the ball very moist and skid up off the surface, very difficult to control balls played into you at pace. He was getting very little supply at first and what supply he did get was all nothing punts up field.

Showed that as soon as you give him it into feet he's dangerous. His link up play once Tevez came on was very good.

Give him a break for christs sake, he's not played a first team games for months, let alone even a substite appearance.
 
I imagine cos he scored he's the best striker at the club now and people always rated him. Just like Garrido is now the best left back at the club, it's amazing how one goal can cloud people's judgement.
