Darren Bent has a higher strike rate than Wayne Rooney. Would anyone think the same claim made about Rooney scoring more goals be so bizarre? If Aguero is selfless and plays more as a support striker he may not get as many goals as Bent if Bent is employed for most of the season as a lone striker. No, this does not mean Bent is a better player than either.

Well I don't think that's a bad bet. I reckon they will score a similar amount of goals. There was no mention about who was the better player by the OP of the thread, just who would score more. Arguably both will score over 20. Bent has been the best English goal scorer for the last two seasons.

Aguero is top notch. And I've said it before his debut. He'll tear defences apart, amazing little player. What a shame he's at City.
